C. Blanchard Photography is launching an exciting, fund-raising, book project called “Hounds Of Switzerland”. We’re creating a gorgeous limited-edition coffee table book filled with incredible dogs who live and play in Switzerland.  While the dogs are the obvious stars of the project, we’re also raising funds and awareness for Dogs Angels who repatriate homeless dogs from Eastern Europe to new homes in Switzerland. 

 

We are proud to have Dogs Angels as our rescue partner for this project!

Dogs Angels is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers who rely solely on donations and sponsorships to rehabilitate homeless dogs and repatriate them to a new home in Switzerland. Dogs Angels rescue dogs who have been abandoned and save them from a life on the streets, from dog catchers and from the horrors of the local shelters which are often a death trap. Often these dogs are malnourished and in addition to a roof over their heads, they are in need of veterinary treatment, food and vaccinations in order to get them healthy enough to travel here. The money we raise from this book will go to help the rehabilitation and shelter of these helpless animals so they can start their hunt for a new family in Switzerland.

Registration Details

  • 100 CHF registration fee (usually 300 CHF)

  • Includes a custom pet photography session outdoors

  • Includes a double-page spread in Hounds Of Switzerland

  • Prints and digital files are not included but are available for purchase

  • A copy of the book is not included and will be available for pre-order on April 31st, 2021.

How It Works For You

  • 100 CHF Registration fee covers your professional photoshoot (usually 300 CHF), a double-page spread in Hounds of Switzerland and 50% is donated to Dogs Angels. All profits from book sales will go straight to Dogs Angels so we're hoping to raise plenty of much-needed funds and awareness with this project.

  • Registration will be open for 2 weeks and you will be able to register here online to book a session date anytime between mid-November and September 30th. The registration fee of 100 CHF is for one dog. Extra dogs can be added at a cost of 75 CHF each.

  • Once the registration period is closed, I will be in touch to discuss the details of your session.

  • All Portrait Sessions will take place in Vaud, Geneva, Lower Fribourg and Lower Valais. 

  • First and foremost, I will be photographing for the book images which can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes but you do have the option to purchase prints, albums and wall art as well as the book. Therefore, if you would like a variety of shots of your furry friend(s), you have the option to upgrade the session for an extra 50CHF so I allow more time. Extra registered pets can also be photographed at the same time and unregistered pets who will not be in the book can also be added to the photoshoot.

  • You are not obligated to purchase any printed portraits but you will be given a 100 CHF credit toward any wall art or packages so if you are interested, please take a look at the Product Guide & Price List.

  • Approximately 2 - 4 weeks later we will view the photographs together and you can choose your favourites. I ask all clients to send me a photograph of any rooms they may like to display their images in as I have software that can render a mockup of how your chosen images would look on your walls.

  • I will personally deliver and install any purchased artwork approximately 4-6 weeks later.

  • The Hounds of Switzerland Book will be designed here in Switzerland and will be available for pre-order on September 31st, 2021 at a discounted price. The physical books will be available in December, 2021.

Want to know a secret!?

Dogs are usually on a lead during our location sessions. Don't worry if your dog hasn't mastered the recall command. We use the magic of Photoshop to remove leads (and often the human at the other end of the lead). SAFETY FIRST!
